Kanturk & District Trout Anglers Association

The Kanturk and District Trout Anglers Association have been closely associated with the IRD Duhallow LIFE Project through the initial application process, to current active volunteering assisting in some of the actions of the project. In 2011 the club assisted in the removal of Himlayan balsam from two high profile sites within the catchment.

 

The club have been actively promoting sustainable angling within the region, with a "catch and release" policy promoted from within the group. The club meet weekl,y carrying out work on the rivers of Duhallow and have been involved in habitat restoration projects in the past such as the development of the rock ramp fish pass in Kanturk Town Park.
